We Live in Public
Remember Prodigy back in the early 1990s (the internet site, not the band)? We Live in Public is a fantastic documentary about Josh Harris an early internet pioneer that started internet radio and worked on the chat rooms of Prodigy. I used to show this documentary in my intro sociology class to talk about social construction. It's available on Netflix and iTunes. Check out the trailer:

Oh. Wow. I was on prodigy when I was a senior in college. I will not provide the year. :)

When the video said "years ago lions and tigers were kings of the jungle and one day they wound up in zoos, i suspect we're on the same track" it really got me thinking. Do you think technology has the power to take over and control human life? The world is constantly changing and growing every day. Makes me wonder if a future as portrayed in the I Robot movie, staring Will Smith, could ever become a reality. Do you think we could end up in zoos per say as Josh suggests? Crazy to think about right?
